REMINDER: Community Shredding Day 4/20/24
Please join us for Absecon's Community Shredding and Neighborhood Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 20th from 9 am to 12 pm. Volunteers are welcome to join in the clean-up, supplies will be provided.
Absecon Spring Curbside Leaf Collection
Absecon's Spring Curbside Leaf Collection begins April 15th and runs through May 10th. Place loose leaves only, no branches or other debris please.
ACUA- Upcoming Scheduled Maintenance
The design, procurement, and layout of an extension to an 18” gas collection header have been completed as part of a multi-phased approach to enhance current and future odor mitigation capabilities. The final connections of this phase will be integrated into the system, with third-party contractors collaborating with ACUA staff. To facilitate this, a series of shutdowns has been scheduled to fuse the piping into the system.
These shutdowns are planned for Tuesday, March 12th, and Wednesday, March 13th, with Thursday, March 14th designated as a contingency day for any unforeseen issues. It is important to note that the work will occur during daytime hours, and the system will be brought back online each day to minimize shutdown time.
During this period, there may be odors migrating offsite. ACUA is actively communicating with local officials and residents to keep them informed, providing daily updates on their website and social media channels regarding the construction progress.
