Joint Traffic Enforcement Initiative Results in Numerous Violations
On April 26th, officers from the Absecon Police Department and Atlantic City Police Department were deployed to the area of U.S. Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) for strict speed enforcement. During a period of 4 hours, officers from both agencies enforced a combined total of 84 violations for speed related offenses.

APD Christmas Toy Drive
Every year during the holiday season, members of the Absecon Police Department partner with the Atlantic County Toys for Kids Program to take part in our annual Absecon Police Department Christmas Toy Drive. It’s a hugely successful program that is growing every year because of the generosity of the public.
Members of the Absecon Police Department handpick families in our community to receive gifts each year. During the month of December donations are collected at the police department. A toy bin is placed in the lobby at City Hall.
Toys are delivered by Santa Clause with help from the Absecon Fire Department. Christmas comes early to the children in Absecon! The police and fire department parade around the city; it’s a wonderful memory the children of Absecon will remember!
Members of the Absecon Police Department look forward to this humbling experience each and every year. Without the help of our community, none of this would be possible. Our success is attributed to all those that donate!

Faunce Landing Boat Ramp
The boat ramp is located at the intersection of Faunce Landing Road and 4th Street. You must obtian a permit to use the ramp.
Permit Instructions
- If you have a CURRENT NJ Resident Hunting or Fishing License to receive the discount please provide a copy.
- If you have Veteran’s status to receive the discount please provide a copy of your DD214 or driver’s license if it has the Veteran insignia.
- Copy of a valid Driver’s License
- Provide your phone number
- Provide your email address
- Copy of the valid TRAILER registration
- Payment by check only, made out to the City of Absecon, in either of the amounts listed below:
With discount any time - $25.00
Without discount - $50.00 until April 1st
$100.00 after April 1st.
