Absecon Community Affairs Invites you to the 9th Annual MEMORIAL DAY PATRIOTIC BICYCLE BRIGADE MONDAY MAY 29TH 8:15 am Judging begins at 8.30 am

 

LINE UP AT FIREHOUSE PARKING LOT 3 FINALISTS IN EACH AGE GROUP. 1ST PLACE WILL BE AWARDED A GIFT CARD FOUR AGE GROUPS: PRE-K-1, 2-3, 4-5, AND 6-8

 

Helmets required. Decorated helmets encouraged! Strollers, wagons, and scooters (no motors) welcome. Pedal power only. Prizes will be awarded and we will join the parade as it begins from the American Legion at 9:00am. Parents may walk beside riders in the parade. Riders MUST stay in our assigned formation during the parade!

Atlantic City Electric to Host Informational Open House in Atlantic City About Smart Meter Upgrade

WHEN: Tuesday, April 4, 2023 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

WHERE: Atlantic Cape Community College - Worthington Atlantic City Campus Cafeteria 1535 Bacharach Blvd Atlantic City, NJ 08104

 Atlantic City Electric will host an open house at Atlantic Cape Community College to share information with local residents and businesses in Atlantic County about the company’s Smart Energy Network and the new smart meters. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the initiative and its benefits. The open house is a self-guided format, allowing customers to ask Atlantic City Electric representatives questions about specific aspects of the Smart Energy Network project and smart meters. Additionally, Atlantic City Electric will have on site representatives providing information about the company’s energy assistance programs.

Benefits of a Smart Energy Network

When fully installed and operational, our Smart Energy Network provides a number of benefits, including:

  • Enhanced reliability with faster and more efficient power restoration efforts for customer homes and businesses following more frequent severe weather events driven by climate change.
  • Improved bill management tools and new online features that customers can use to view their daily and hourly energy usage trends to help save money and use energy more efficiently.
  • Better customer experience through upgraded technology improving energy usage reading and billing operations, and nearly eliminating the need for estimated billing.
  • Better integration of new clean energy technologies, including solar, battery storage, and transportation

Absecon Spring Curbside Leaf Pickup

Absecon's Spring Curbside Leaf Collection begins April 17th and runs through May 12th.  Place loose leaves only, no branches or other debris please.  

Community Shredding and Neighborhood Cleanup, Saturday, April 22

Please join us for Absecon's Community Shredding and Neighborhood Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 22nd from 9 am to 12 pm.  Shredding will be held in the Municipal City Hall Parking Lot.  Volunteers are welcome to join in the clean-up, supplies will be provided.
