Halloween Trick-or-Treat - October 31st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Absecon's Trick-or-Treat will take place on October 31st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Chief Laughlin would like to remind everyone that there will be increased foot traffic, as parents and children will be out visiting our neighborhoods. Please reduce speeds in all residential areas, especially during this time period.
Parents need to remember to inspect all candy and goodies before anyone consumes their treats.
Due to Safety concerns surrounding Trick-or-Treat, Morton Avenue between Upland Avenue and Crestview Avenue will be closed starting at 5:45 pm and will re-open at approximately 8:00 pm or when the streets are clear of pedestrian traffic. There will be no traffic allowed to enter or exit the closed area during those hours.
The Pitney Park Sports Comlex Area off Morton Avenue will be available for parking during the event.
We recognize that this may be an inconvenience for homeowners, but hope you understand that Chief Laughlin has made this decision with the safety of the families and children participating in the Trick-or-Treat event in mind.
If you have family or friends planning to visit during this time, please make sure to communicate this information.

Movie in the Park - Friday October 7th
Movie in the Park - Hocus Pocus on Friday, October 7th event starting at 6:00. Come dressed as a witch and take pictures with the characters of Hocus Pocus. Hope to see you there!

We have received overwhelming positive support of the event and are already planning to schedule next year's festival on September 17, 2023.
Community Shredding - Saturday, October 1st, 9 am - 12 pm The Fall Cleanup will be rescheduled due to weather, stay tuned for the new date.

CREEKFEST Parking and Road Closure Information
Free Parking for Absecon's Creekfest Event will be available at the parking lot next to the Public Works Building on Pitney Road. Free Jitney service will be provided on a continual basis throughout the day from 1:30 to 9:30. A pick-up/drop-off area will be delineated adjacent to the parking lot. Uber/Lyft drop-off lanes and bicycle parking areas will be available and encouraged.
Handicapped parking is available at the event site.
Faunce Landing Road will be marked for "No Parking" on both sides of the roadway from Shore Road to the event location. Lisbon Ave will be closed at Julianna Drive with traffic only allowed to exit the event area. Two-Way traffic will resume on Lisbon Ave at Julilanna Drive.
Entrances to the event will be at Faunce Landing Road and Lisbon Avenue. Another entrance will be on 4th Avenue midway between the Boat Ramp and Lazy Lane. Traffic WILL NOT be permitted past these points during the event.
The Boat Ramp will be closed for 24 hours beginning at 12:00 AM on Sunday monring until 12:00 AM Monday morning.
